What is a Domestic Engineer?

Some may ask me this question. What is a Domestic Engineer?  Well it's really quite simple, when ever I go somewhere and someone asks me what I do for a living, if I say homemaker, it is looked down upon.
It's almost like it's a crime to have this position.  But.....if I say I am a Domestic Engineer, they will enquire what that is.  Here is what I get to tell them:

Wife

Mother

Chef

Baker

Dry Cleaner

Dish Washer

Bus "girl"

Taxi Driver

Teacher

Nurse/Doctor/Surgeon

Finance Specialist

Cleaning Lady

Dictionary

Encyclopedia

Computer Tech

Secretary

Even after I go through this amazing list, I still get the question "Yeah, but what does it pay?" Well first of all it's not about making a living, it's about making a life. In my life I get paid with smiles & laughter and hugs & kisses.  No, I don't work a 40 hour week, I work a 168 hour week. I don't get any vaction or sick days, and I will never get to retire. However, I would never trade my job.......I might have to change out of my pajamas :)
